We are so thankful that our little one is in such a nurturing and happy environment at Downtown Baby. Finding a great infant care situation can be so challenging. Our daughter started attending Downtown Baby at 10 months old. From the very first day, Sophie focused on bonding and making sure our daughter felt comfortable and welcome, and she adjusted immediately. Our daughter adores Sophie, who nurtures and encourages her curiosity and independence, and she has really bonded with her playmates. The Montessori learning approach, environmental ethic, and beautiful space are wonderful too. The quality of care at Downtown Baby is phenomenal, and we are grateful every day that our child is thriving in this loving and lovely place.

When I was searching for infant/child care for my first child, I was stressed and nervous and worried, I never realized what an answer to my prayers Robin and Sophie would be. They have taken care of both of my children from 3 months of age. They are dependable, reliable, and truly care for my children as their own. They implement some early preschool work for the kids and really set my older son up for success when he transitioned into a preschool. I go to work with peace and confidence that my children are safe and loved. :)

Leaving someone else to care for your infant is hard every day. From the moment Robin and Sophie opened the door, their calming nature soothed both my baby and myself. From the first day I left my son there to the last day, he wasn't just well cared for, he absolutely thrived. I never worried about my son a single day I was at work. Over the years, Sophie and Robin were always respectful of our requests and openly communicative. We could not have been happier with the loving and stimulating environment our son had for his first couple years of life. It brings tears to my eyes to think about how lucky we were. I cannot say enough good things about Robin & Sophie. I was lucky enough to get my son into their daycare when he was six months old. They were so loving and caring with him, that my husband and I jokingly called them his other parents. I have always known that they had his best interest at heart and that they were caring for him in a clean, safe, happy environment. They made the transition of going back to work full time as smooth as possible and I knew that my baby was safe and happy with them. As my son has grown, he has blossomed with Robin and Sophie. We have been with them for almost 3 ½ years now and we are going to be so sad when he finally moves on to preschool. Robin and Sophie cared for my daughter when she was 6 months old until a little over 3 years old. She thrived under Robin and Sophie's care, feeling completely loved, totally safe, and clean in their tidy and peaceful environment. We love that they are educated, continue to learn more about their profession, come up with new unique ideas for the kids to do each day, including organize their space differently every week with different themes, incorporating practical life and social interaction guidance throughout the day. At the same time, Robin and Sophie are lifesavers and make it so easy for hard working parents by taking care of everything throughout the day.

Finding childcare in SLO County is not the easiest thing to do, especially being from out of town and not knowing anyone personally. When looking for someone to watch our little guy full time, my husband and I found ourselves fairly uncomfortable with our options. We were referred to Sophie & Robin and from the minute we met them, we were immediately at ease. Leaving your baby with a complete stranger can be so difficult, but when you find someone who loves them just like you would, the worry completely disappears. We know our son is always in the best care and that he's learning and growing every day. We couldn't thank Sophie & Robin enough for the care they give our son.
